MAT PILATES FOR EVERYONE
"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness"
Joseph Pilates

Group Matwork classes are challenging and fun. They focus on the mind-body connection that ensures movement through the whole body, and which over time, will allow you to "be in control of your body and not at its mercy".

The various exercises throughout the sessions will enable an improvement to flexibility, postural alignment, joint mobility, balance and coordination. Pilates emphasises a conscious attention to breathing, so as to enrich movement and to unwind and focus the mind.

Classes are deliberately kept small, with the largest having a maximum of 12 people per session, so that attention can be given to everyone. As well as working on the mat, we use a variety of small equipment, like foam rollers, resistance bands, gym balls, small weights and Pilates circles, to compliment and challenge the exercises and to aid those lovely "ah-hah" moments when figuring out just how brilliant your body can be!

As well as the in-person classes, clients also have access to the Members Area of this website.
**This class is great for the older adult or those needing more adaptations to the Pilates repertoire.
